    • Saida Adeshina, mother of late Nigerian singer Destiny Boy, has responded to rumors surrounding her son’s death.
    • She denied accusations that Destiny Boy engaged in money rituals or sacrifices for fame.
    • In social media videos, she expressed her emotional distress and warned against spreading unsubstantiated information.

Saida Adeshina, mother of late Nigerian singer Destiny Boy, has spoken out amid rumors surrounding her son’s death, categorically denying claims that her son was involved in money rituals or sacrificed for fame.

In a video circulating on social media, an emotional Saida Adesina warned Nigerians against spreading unsubstantiated stories about her son, saying anyone who uses his name to seek relevance will “suffer the same fate” as him.

She introduced herself as the late singer’s mother and explained that Destiny Boy had been battling a long-term illness that began about two years ago, shortly after his son’s birth.

According to her, Destiny and his father visited Ifaomi, a popular herbalist, before the naming ceremony of their child, during which time Destiny began to embrace Ifa worship. The herbalist reportedly showed affection for fate and gave him a ram, but soon after, the singer fell ill and collapsed clutching his stomach, she said.

He was taken to hospital and the family continued to be in contact with Ifaomi, who she claimed provided them with financial assistance and assured them that nothing would happen to their fate.

Saida recounts that when his condition did not improve, the herbalist asked to bring destiny to him. She said she bathed her son herself with soap provided by Ifayomi, after which he seemed to make a temporary recovery.

However, the disease later relapsed and was described as “Oku Oru”, a condition she likened to epilepsy that causes erratic behavior at times. According to her, the family tried to handle the matter quietly to protect Destiny Boy’s image as a rising music star. They reportedly sought help from several priests and herbalists to find a cure before eventually returning him to Ifayomi.

She added that health and business reasons prevented her from visiting her son in his final days, but she was worried after repeated calls to him went unanswered. A few days later, she received a late-night call informing her that his condition had deteriorated again.

Saida said Destiny’s father was with him throughout the event and he was doing well enough to entertain people earlier in the day. She also dismissed suspicions about the herbalist, noting that Ifaomi had already traveled at the time and would not have done so if the fate of the situation were critical.

She concluded by saying that when Destiny later refused to take the herbal medicine upon his return, the family was advised to take him to the hospital.

    She translated her words:

“Nonsense to Nigerians, anyone who wants to be popular with my son’s name will suffer the same fate as my late son. My name is Saida Adeshina, I was the mother of the late singer. When he gave birth to his son, four days before he was named, he and his father went to see the herbalist Ifayomi, who gave him a ram because he liked Desti. ny, like he was his son. That’s why two years ago, he started getting sick; he fell down and held his stomach and that’s how we started calling Ifaomi who had been helping financially and when we saw nothing had changed, he asked us to bring him here.

“He gave me a bar of soap and I bathed my destiny myself. He was cured and we returned home. After the naming ceremony, we brought him back. They said the disease was ‘Oku Oru’, the disease is like epilepsy and after a while he will start acting strangely. We tried to cover it up because he was a superstar and we went to different priests and herbalists just to find a cure and we had to send him back to Ifayomi but four days ago I called him and he didn’t pick up the phone as well.

“I got a call late that night that it had happened again. In fact, his father had been there the whole time and they said Destiny entertained people during the day. In fact, the herbalist traveled; if something was wrong with Destiny, he wouldn’t have traveled. So, when he came back, he checked on Destiny again, but when he tried to give him the herbs, he didn’t take them, so he asked us to take him to the hospital.”

@gok.matins: “Painful exit. Based on her statement, Oba edun is the prime suspect. Since the day Oba edun did the IFA for the boy, there was no problem with the boy anymore. Because Oba edun gave money to the parents, they thought he was innocent, so he had brainwashed them. In her statement, it was clearly stated that the illness started when he went to Oba two years ago It started when Edun went to pick up Ram. This was when he was mentally attacked and the family began to hold Oba Edun accountable when they realized what they had lost.

“Oba edun’s journey took that boy through his years. The boy was perfectly healthy before starting the IFA journey with Ifayomi (Oba edun). Imagine the name of this disease had never been heard before. Na spirituality killed the boy. Innocent boy got sick in the wrong place. He too could have become a light worker (advanced soul) may his soul rest in peace.”
