Cassie Ventura has been dating music tycoon Mogul Sean “Diddy” comb for more than a decade and is expected to be the main witness in his upcoming federal trial, which will begin later this month. Given her long-term relationship with Diddy and her involvement in several legal developments in the case, her testimony is expected to be the most critical.
In November 2023, Cassie filed a civil lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of rape, human trafficking and other crimes. The lawsuit is the first to openly charge the alleged “freak”, claiming Didi arranged for sexual intercourse between Cassie and a male prostitute while watching. Diddy’s legal team initially dismissed the lawsuit as “shakedown”, but one day later he settled the case for an undisclosed amount.
Although the NYPD said at the time Diddy was not the subject of the investigation, additional lawsuits from other alleged victims soon followed. Not long after, federal agents raided Didi’s property in Los Angeles, New York and Miami. The report shows that Cassie has been working with federal authorities to raise her opinion to help secure warrants for the raid.
In May 2024, surveillance footage appeared showing Didi attacking Casey in the hotel corridor. The video, published by CNN, depicts Cassie before she attempts to leave her hotel room before Diddy follows her and throws her violently to the ground. After that, prosecution and defense debated the acceptability and interpretation of the video, Didi’s team called on expert witnesses to challenge its accuracy.
Of the four victims expected to testify at the trial, Cassie is the only victim to appear under her real name. Jury selection will begin tomorrow with opening arguments next week.
