Daniel Bwala, the special counsel for the President of Media and Policy, described former presidential candidate (LP) Peter Obi as a failed politician.
Bouwara said it was a reaction to Obi’s recent comment on the failure of democracy under this administration.
Speaking on Monday at the 60th birthday of former Deputy Speaker Emeka Ihedioha in Abuja on Monday, Obi said the progress made has been eroded since Nigeria returned to civilian rule in 1999.
“If you look at where we are today, it’s like they (PDP) started in 1999 and laid the foundation for the foundation. Some people come and bring it to the deck, and when some people come and knock everything down, some people try to take it to the first floor.”
Bwala slams the former governor on his official X handle, questioning his understanding of democracy. He said that when pro-democratic activists struggled with military regimes, Obi, known as the “failed politician”, was engaged in business.
“It’s interesting that failed politicians try to redefine democracy. @Peterobi says democracy has collapsed.
