The conversation in the video shows that heat from the welding operation may have stimulated the fire and spread rapidly.

Rivers State Police spokesman Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the incident, noting: “Yes, we know this. At the moment, the details are very sketchy, but we have sent someone Go there to investigate.”
Officials of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited were reportedly warned by locals and visited the site.
The company or any regulatory authority has not issued an official statement.
