Singer Sparrow, known for his public professions of love for Jesus, sparked reactions after sharing a photo of himself kissing fiancée Janet Atom.

The post from the artist, who often uses social media platforms to promote messages of Christ and purity, surprised many.

Spyro shared the photo on Instagram with a caption that quickly gained attention online.

“Wherever you see @_callme_njure please give her a bill I understand why I just saw something that shocked me

Let me sing to your little baby:

Just like the result of Waec, I have been waiting for you all my life..

‘Cause oh, Lekki girls won’t chop my eyes out,

Before, na runz girls filled my mind,

You made me realize that there’s more to life than this

I fell in love with O”

In other news… Award-winning gospel singer Tim Godfrey has responded to critics who condemn gospel artistes for charging performance or appearance fees, saying many people don’t understand the sacrifice and responsibility behind their ministry.

In a recent statement, the Nara singer expressed his frustration with those who expect gospel musicians to perform for free, revealing how early in his career he was often underpaid or not paid at all.

According to Godfrey, he once received “chunks of yam and a live chicken” as payment after performing at a church event, an experience he described as both humbling and eye-opening.

“I once collected yams and a live chicken as payment. Should I use these to feed my family?” he asked rhetorically, emphasizing that gospel artists, like everyone else, have bills to pay and families to support.
