The State Department of Services (DSS) along with social media platforms π (Twitter) and Meta (Facebook), has filed five charges against the Federal High Court in Abuja.
According to court documents, Sovor allegedly used his account on both platforms from August 25 to 26, 2025, calling President Bra Tinub a “crime” and accusing him of dishonesty about corruption during his official visit to Brazil.
DSS claims that these positions are false, defamatory, and able to cause public obstacles, which is a violation of Cybercrimes Act Act Act and Actor Act and the Criminal Law Act.
The allegations include spreading false information, slandering the president, and publishing content designed to inspire fear and disrupt public peace.
