
The NSCDC (Edo State Police Command) Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Team has arrested two suspects, 16-year-old Idemudia and 25-year-old Akpasovbe, according to It is said that it is suspected of trafficking a 16-year-old girl to Burkina Faso for commission of PR0.
State Commander Gbegan Agu revealed this in a statement Wednesday, February 5.
According to him, on January 29, 2025, Hope Friday reported that her 16-year-old sister was missing and suspected that Akpasovbe was involved in her disappearance.
“Immediately, a combined team of NSCDC intelligence and counterterrorism forces began operations and arrested the main suspect of Alex Omoseve, a boyfriend of the precious Akpasuvbe in the Agbor Park area of Benin,” he said.
“During the investigation, the Legion discovered that the missing girl was trafficked to Burkina Faso for prostitution without her parents’ consent.
“The suspect pleaded guilty to the crime and the victim has been brought back from Burkina Faso and reunited with his family.”
Agua said the suspect will be prosecuted in court after the investigation is completed.
In an interview with reporters, the victim said that the suspect often played gambling games in his sister’s store and he promised to take her overseas as a maid.
“But when they arrived in Burkina Faso, they told me that my job was to sleep with men and I started crying. I later begged someone who called me to notify my sister, and he didn’t know my journey. That’s mine Way back to Nigeria,” she said.
Principal suspect Alex Omoseve said he knew the victim of his sister’s store and he had played betting games. He claimed the victim told him she wanted to travel, and he introduced her to her girlfriend, who knew people from Burkina Faso to help her.
He said he introduced the victim to his girlfriend because he didn’t know anyone there, and his girlfriend had previously decided to assist her in Burkina Faso.
In her case, the precious Akpasuvbe told reporters that they brought the victim to Burkina Faso for the PR0 agency. She also admitted that her partner in Burkina Faso paid N200,000.
