- Alex Onyia expressed concern about the strong opposition to Chinedu Okeke.
- Chinedu Okeke, a student from Anambra State University, scored 375 of 400 points in the 2025 JAMB exam, the highest score in exam history.
- Rumors emerged, suggesting that Chinedu was already a medical student at the University of Nigeria (UNN).

renowned educator Alex Onyia expressed his concerns about the rebound facing Chinedu Okeke, a student at Anambra State, who made headlines after scoring the highest score in the 2025 JAMB exam.
Chinedu scored an impressive 375 out of the highest 400 people in exam history, but rumors began saying that he was already a medical student at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), leading some to label him as a “mercenary.”
In response, Onyia contacted Chinedu’s father, Mr. Chris Okeke, for clarity. He revealed on social media that Chinedu’s passion was not medical and that his second MBBS exam failed, and then decided to take JAMB again in pursuit of a new avenue that was more consistent with his dream.
Onyia expressed disappointment with the false claims, stressing that the boy’s achievements should be celebrated rather than questioned.
The truth is short:
1. Chinedu was admitted to read medicine and surgery at the University of Nigeria, Nigeria in 2021.
2, he began to learn and continued, despite severe difficulties in the suitability of his call in the course.
3. The doctor who he failed to accept in his second MB exam last year did not accept it.
4. This confirmed to his parents that he was not accused as a doctor. So they had extensive discussions with him and concluded that he would have given up his 3 years of investment since he chose to read mechanical engineering, which would require replacing biology with mathematics in JAMB in 2025.
5, he returned to Lagos and was immediately enlisted by Amuwo Odofin’s Achievement Academy, since the college did both, studied research and JAMB registration.
He takes his studies very seriously and has won all local awards from the college for the Excellence Award for Academic Excellence.
He ended up taking the 2025 JAMB exam and was affected by the infamous 2025 JAMB system failure.
Eventually, he reprinted the test sheet and took the repeated JAMB exam.
6, we are here, and he scores 375 points, surpassing all previously established JAMB scores. Indeed, his outstanding academic performance attracted different reactions…good, bad and ugly.
Unfortunately, Jamb’s statement has always been ugly. We hope the organization would rather conduct a thorough investigation and possibly extend the thoughtful apology to Chinedu.
7. Chinedu is from Anambra State and has filled out his profile page and all other documents related to JAMB.
Unfortunately, Jamb migrated the wrong details from the NIN platform and placed it on his 2021 JAMB exam sheet. After that, the NIN details of Chinedu have been corrected and corrected in the form of data correction and transferred to JAMB. This can be confirmed on its profile page.
8. We praise Chinedu and will continue to do so because his resilience, commitment and unparalleled determination have achieved his life goals, which we confirm is not rooted in medicine and surgery.
We have thought that Chinedu’s overall attitude should be praised and advised students who did not successfully end the initial attempt…try, try again! ”
