EFCC refunds $120,548 and $70 million to foreign fraud victims

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has returned totals of 120,548.43 and N70,602,841.46 for fraud victims in the United States, Spain and Switzerland, which are its ongoing efforts to combat economic and financial crime.

Recovery funds obtained from fraudsters operating in Nigeria are returned to the victims as part of the EFCC’s commitment to ensure justice and to provide compensation to those affected by fraudulent programs.

The anti-planting agency reiterates its dedication to addressing financial crimes, stressing that its relentless pursuit of fraudsters and recovery of stolen assets have enhanced Nigeria’s credibility in the global fight against financial crime.

This latest recovery highlights the EFCC’s ongoing efforts to protect local and international fraud victims, thus strengthening its position as a key institution in the fight against corruption.
