Ekiti Court returns women for trying to cut off boyfriend's masculinity

Sitting in the district court of Ado-Ekiti, Ikoja, 20, has returned to the masculinity of trying to cut off her boyfriend.

The Ekiti State Police Command argued in court that Ikoja had illegally caused wounds to Ibrahim Usman by tearing his scrotum.

Prosecutor Inspector Adeboye Adesegun told the court that at 8.00 pm on April 12 in the Irona area, in the Irona area of Ado-ekiti, Ikoja illegally caused a wound to an Ibrahim Usman by tearing his scrotum.

“The defendant does act on the same date, time and place, in a manner that may lead to social peace violations”.

According to the prosecutor, under Articles 186 and 255 and Articles 256 (a) and 181 (d), the Ekiti Criminal Code of Nigeria, in 2021, the offences of crimes shall be punished.

Attorney David Ogbede, the defendant’s attorney, urged the court to approve her entrusted bail, saying she would not be considered innocent by the law and therefore would not jump off bail.

Prosecutors refuted the attorney’s position, saying she might jump out of bail because her current name is different from the case that was tried and removed in court earlier.

Magistrate Olatomiwa Daramola refused bail to the defendant in his ruling, saying she should be sent back to Ado-Ekiti’s correctional facility.

He then adjourned the case until further hearings were held on April 22.
