- The political scene in Anambra is heating up as APC deputy governorship candidate Uche Ekwunife and Governor Chukwuma Soludo attack each other ahead of the November elections.
- The feud began when Soludo questioned Equinefe’s academic credentials, prompting her to accuse him of poor leadership and make damaging accusations against his family.

Uche Ekwunife, the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reportedly snubbed Governor Chukwuma Soludo at a recent public event, leading to a drastic shift in Anambra politics that has heightened tensions between the two ahead of the November governorship election.
The feud between the two politicians began when Governor Soludo questioned the authenticity of Ekunife’s academic qualifications, especially her PhD.
In response, Equinife launched a fierce counterattack, criticizing Soludo’s leadership style and accusing him of neglecting governance and security issues in Anambra State. She also made personal accusations about his hygiene.
The conflict escalated when Ekunife claimed that Soludo’s wife Noye Soludo was having an affair with the late former governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju and expressed doubts about the paternity of some of her children.
Ms Soludo reacted swiftly, issuing a 72-hour ultimatum to retract the statement and issue a public apology, warning that legal action would be taken if Ekwunife did not comply. She also asked Aquinife to take a vow of chastity and called for a DNA test to clear up misunderstandings.
However, Equineve dismissed the threats, insisting that Mrs. Soludo should explain herself to her husband and not herself.
