Tesla CEO Elon Musk was forced to stop delivering its “indestructible” Seberli vehicles, a major safety issue.
According to Mail Online, in some cases, metal trim pieces fly at high speeds even when driving, putting other cars and road users at risk.
In a post on X and a post on the Cybertruck owners club website, the customer said Tesla agents told them that the delivery had been put on hold and pending inspection.
Previously, Tesla was forced to recall thousands of Seberaks due to a panel drop while driving, but recent reports suggest the issue is not resolved.
The current issue seems to affect the “Cantrail”, a large decorative piece that extends from front to back along the roof.
In a formal complaint against the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a Secbock owner wrote that the decor broke away after driving just one year.
The driver argued in their statement that the group was “hard and sharp enough to hit other cars” and raised “serious safety issues.”
In many posts on social media, Seibock-style drivers have been showing how the exterior panels of their vehicles peel off from their bodies.
In standard vehicles, most exterior panels will be part of the assembly and chassis.
In the second NHTSA complaint, a Seiberke driver wrote: [sic] Decoration pieces fall off while driving on the street and can hurt another driver.
“This decoration has two pieces, one bolted to the truck and the other is glued to the bolted debris, the bonded debris are peeled off.”
