Rapper and activist Falz described the 2020 #endsars protests as one of the most intense periods of his life.
Falz said at a #WithChude live show in Lagos that the protests were exhausted mentally and emotionally, but he had no regrets. “I was taught that I would never regret doing what I thought was right,” he said. “The connection we all think is — it’s huge.”
Falz stressed that his activism was driven by compassion and humanity, not applause or recognition. He also acknowledged his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, as the main influencer.
Through music and advocacy, Falz continues to oppose injustice and police brutality in Nigeria.
