Popular Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele recently shared an uplifting message with her fans, offering advice on how to deal with rejection and life challenges.
The Nollywood star took to her Instagram page to reflect on the importance of staying resilient and keeping perspective during difficult times.
She explains that those moments when career doors closed, while frustrating at first, helped shape her path and prepare her for greater opportunities.
Akindele said every rejection served a purpose and strengthened her resolve, clarified her direction and led her to the “yes” that really mattered. She encourages her followers to view rejection not as a measure of their worth, but as motivation to better suit their journey.
“Every ‘no’ prepares me for the important ‘yes’.
“Rejection doesn’t diminish your capabilities. It changes your direction.” she wrote.

In other news… A woman has shared a personal story online, explaining how difficult life circumstances forced her into hooking up and living on the streets.
According to her, she was once homeless and sought refuge in a church to survive. However, she said she was later asked to leave after the pastor reportedly said he did not want anyone sleeping on the premises.
She explained that after being forced to leave, she struggled to find a place to live and ended up living on the streets. Faced with hardship and a lack of support, she said she later started broadcasting as a way to survive.
In her words: “I started hooking up because of life circumstances. Before you judge me, try to understand my reasons. Before I got into it, I was homeless and sought refuge in a church, but then I was asked to leave because the pastor said he didn’t want anyone to sleep there. From that point on, I started looking for a place to live and ended up getting involved in street life.”
