News of his alleged death surfaced after renowned Instagram investigative journalist Temilola Sobola shared a post announcing the singer’s death on Sunday, January 18, 2025. Lagos Eye reports,
“Singer Destiny Boy passed away. May his soul rest in peace 🕊️,” Sobora wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official confirmation from the family or management, and the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Destiny Boy rose to fame at a young age for his unique sound and street-style melodies, earning him a strong fan base within the Nigerian Afrobeat scene.
The singer made headlines in November 2024 after welcoming his first child, while earlier in March 2024, he reportedly proposed to his partner with a diamond ring said to be worth millions of naira.
