Nigerian rapper and lawyer Falz sparked a fierce debate on X after tweets: “Notice is not a sin.”
The statement immediately sparked a wave of reactions, with many users responding with biblical references and strong religious opinions. A user @thereal_lulu26 quote 1 Corinthians 6:18,writing:
“A person who escapes sexual immorality…sexual immorality commits crimes against his own body.”
@ella_bosslady_ responded to the emotion, calling it “the sin of the Ten Commandments”, and @drpenking dismissed the tweet, saying,
“You will follow Chase Crant at your age.”
However, some users question the religious framework. One person wrote,
“Some Christian thinkers believe that two people who agree to engage in such behavior cannot be regarded as sinners. They believe it is Paul’s law, not divine.”
Others shout out what they think is selective morality.
@Silvah101 said on Twitter: “Most people are certified hypocrites.” “You are here to condemn this tweet, but you are addicted to it.”
Another user asked:
“Explanation why this is not the sin in both paragraphs? oya naw.”
