The father and his two sons were killed in a new violence when the bandits attacked the Miango community in the Barcelona local government area of Plateau State.
The latest killing came less than a week after a similar attack that claimed more than 60 lives in the village of Bokkos.
National Propaganda Minister Irigwe Development Association (IDA) (IDA), Sam Jugo revealed this in a statement released, saying the victims were Weyi Gebeh, 56, and his two sons, Zhu Weyi, 25; Henry Weyi, 16, was killed early Friday morning when bandits invaded the community.
The statement says
“The recent incident has recorded nine deaths this week alone. The IDA has expressed its greatest grievances with the deteriorating situation on the land of Irigwe and has called on the security agencies to do anything necessary to stop such savage savages from our land and arrested in the face of justice.”
Community leaders’ ways of “criminals invading our homeland and impunity killing seem to suggest a more sinister motive than mere reporting of alleged mistakes.
