Southwest’s flight from Houston to Phoenix was forced to return to the gate and started screaming after a passenger stripped N@K3D on Monday afternoon, March 3.
The video taken by the passengers showed the woman completely undressed and walked around the aisle while screaming.
The Hobby Airport plane from Houston was delayed for more than an hour, according to Phoenix-based NBC affiliate KPNX.
The Houston Police Department said in a statement to NBC News on Thursday, March 6 that it received a call at 3:30 p.m. Monday, “a passenger took off his clothes on the flight and caused a commotion.”
Police said the woman was evacuated from the flight and transported to the Neuropsychiatric Center at Harris Health Hospital in Houston for medical evaluation.
“There was no charges, so her name was not released,” police said.
Southwest Airlines released a statement Thursday saying local law enforcement met with Flight 733 after returning to the gate due to “customer situation on board.”
“Our team has contacted customers on the flight to apologize for delaying travel,” Southwest said.
Two anonymous passengers living in Phoenix told KPNX that the plane had just started to taxi when the woman, still in her clothes, walked to the front of the plane and started yelling.
One passenger said: “It’s very uncomfortable and it’s really scary.”
Another passenger said: “I do remember that she said she wanted to get off.”
The same passenger said the woman shouted that she was bipolar and began to hit part of the plane.
“She started jumping up and down, screaming at the top of her lungs,” they said.
Some flyers were shocked to find no charges were filed against the woman.
One passenger said: “Consider that she got N@Ked in front of a bunch of kids and anyone else.”
