He further pointed out that the database will become the basis for evidence -based decision -making and policy formulation.

The role and goal of the committee
The commission’s task was to complete the database in the third quarter of 2025, and the committee assumed several key responsibilities. This includes:
- Design and execute the roadmap to successfully implement NEDI.
- Development framework for Nigeria Education Database.
- Coordinating data systems across institutions and institutions.
- Ensure data security, integrity and confidentiality.
Dr. Alausa emphasizes the scope of the database, which will include the location of the relevant school, the comprehensive data of the infrastructure, and the availability of basic facilities.
He also mentioned that it will provide detailed records of students, covering population statistics, academic performance, and integration with the national identification number (Nin) to monitor the education trajectory.
“The database will guide strategic investment, especially in areas where lack of service,” He said.
The minister guarantees all the government’s support from the committee and promises to provide the necessary resources and institutional support to ensure the success of the plan.
