Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Liberation Mountain and Miracle Ministries, made an emotional appeal to his congregation during a recent Sunday service.
The cleric urged church members to support him as he deals with the ongoing controversy involving Nollywood actress, Doris O’Gara.
In a video circulating on social media, Pastor Okafor spoke from the pulpit and said:
“Those who were against you have become against me. Many of you who were once on your side, fought for you, and fought for you. Those who were against you have become against me… I will protect you so that when something can destroy you, I will not let others hear. I speak to you privately.”
He went on to emphasize the importance of grace, faithfulness and mutual support within the church, adding:
“And still ask for grace to help you, and grace is what has always helped you… Let’s say I’ve been like a father to you over the years. Let’s say I even made a mistake If I do this, don’t you have an obligation to fight for me? “
The pastor’s emotional message comes as the church comes under public scrutiny over allegations related to Doris O’Gara.
After the video was posted online, many Nigerians flocked to the comments section to suggest that Pastor Okafor was indirectly resolving his dispute with the actress.
