Rivers United Manager Finidi George praised the resilience of the Sunshine Stars with a 1-0 victory in the NPFL match Day 34 encounter.

The former NPFL champion won the victory at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday, with Abba Sulaiman scoring a decisive goal in the 83rd minute.

Finidi acknowledges the importance of victory to his team’s desire to win. “The sunshine stars have brought us a tough challenge. They have shown great discipline and determination.” He said after the game.

“This victory is important to us at this stage of the season because it puts pressure on other teams.”

On the other hand, despite the failure, Sunshine Star coach Akinfolarin Bobola is proud of the players’ efforts. “While the result is not what we hoped, I commend the players for their determination throughout the game.” He said.

“It is disappointing to concessions to acknowledge the goal later in the game as we strive to achieve positive results. Our goal is to ensure at least one point, especially given our current position in the league, we will continue to fight until the end.”

Unfortunately, Sunshine Star is still at 19th place after the loss.

Kwara United is satisfied with the draw:

Tunde Sanni, technical consultant for Kwara United, found a positive in Owerri’s goalless draw against Heartland.

He stressed the importance of getting a little after family losses last weekend. “I’m happy with the result.” Sonny said in a post-match interview.

“This promotes our morale as we prepare for our next match against Lobi Stars. We respect Lobi Stars and will do a great job next weekend.”

Currently, Kwara United ranks 12th at the league table, with 44 points in 34 games.

Nasarawa United coach actively after the draw

Salisu Yusuf, a technical consultant at Nasarawa United, actively spoke about his team’s solid 1-1 qualities for Bendel Insurance, highlighting its importance to relegation battles.

Abubakar Garba scored for Nasarawa United before halftime, while Bendel Insurance equalized through Michael Enaruna in the second half.

“This is a crucial place for my team and I praise their hard work” The former assistant coach of the Super Hawks said. “Bendel Insurance offers a competitive game and while we have many opportunities, we will use this draw as a stepping stone.”

Lafia is now ranked 15th in the league table with 43 points in 34 games. Nasarawa United will host Heartland in their next league match on Sunday.
