
Some traders in the popular Onitsha main markets on Ifojika Street near Sokoto Road, Anambra, are calculating their losses after the fire engulfed their stores on March 28.
Hell reportedly began to be in a building around 6:20 a.m., spread across adjacent buildings, destroying all items. At the time of submitting this report, the cause and other details of the outbreak have not been determined.
Chukwudi Chiketa, head of media and publicity department of the Anambra State Fire Department who confirmed the incident, said that the National Fire Department fire was deployed immediately to stop the fire.
Video shared online shows that the smoke from the fire was thick as it swallowed up the affected buildings.
