Soldiers from the Lagos State Police Department arrested a suspected worshiper in the state.
The suspect, together with his allies, reportedly planned to attack when police were closed.
The raid was carried out on March 19, 2025.
Police raided the area on credible intelligence, allegedly suspected cult personnel attacked and intimidated the ijebu-fife area in Ogun State, according to confirmation by Ayuba Umma, spokesman for the State Command.

“On March 19, 2025, police agents attacked a hiding place, and the group was allegedly planning an attack. During the operation, Orekoya Abayomi, 54, was arrested, while the rest of the members escaped through nearby Bush. The subsequent search of his residence resulted in a locally made single-barrel pistol, six on-site cartridges, 21 suspected forged voter cards, with different names, an emerald Pump-Action gun with violation number 1335,” reads part of the statement.
