
Spanish defender Sergio Ramos joins Liga MX club Monterrey for free transfer.
The 38-year-old former Real Madrid defender left Sevilla at the end of the 2023-24 season to sign a one-year contract with the Mexican club. Monterrey is currently ranked 10th in Liga MX.
Ramos is Spain’s most closed player, picking 93 shirts, the 93rd minute goal he scored in the 2014 Champions League final when Madrid beat Madrid rival Madrid .

Ramos spent 16 seasons for Real Madrid. He played 671 games, scoring 101 goals and 40 assists as a defender. He won a handful of trophys with Madrid, including four Champions Leagues. He is also the FIFA club world champion.
The former captain of the Spanish national team participated in 180 games and scored 23 goals. In Spain, he is the world champion, twice as many as the European champion.
