Operation Haven (OPSH) troops arrested a notorious gunman and suspected the kidnapper Paul, located in the Galaya community in the Jema’a local government area of Kaduna.
Intelligence sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 that the 22-year-old suspect was on the wanted list for his involvement in guns and kidnapping.
The action under Operation Lafiyan Jama’a is a stinging action designed to draw the suspect into a trap.
Paul had earlier fled to Abuja to escape arrest and was deceived that he had sold the AK-47 rifle for 1.5 million guilds.
He agreed to meet with the supposed buyer at the selected location in the Garaje community.
Upon arrival, the buyer posed to arrest him and searched him.
Recovered items include: an AK-47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine and two rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition.
The suspect is currently in military detention centers and is providing intelligence to security forces to help target his joint organizations further.
