
Forces in Operation 3 Divisions and Haven have arrested Fidelis Adamu, a notorious cult leader in the Plateau State.
Media Information Officials Action Safe Haven, Major Samson Nantip Zhakom revealed this in a statement Monday, March 24, 2025, saying the arrest comes after an intelligence report that the cult was identified as the Jungle Boys allegedly planned to launch a prominent individual and community leader attack on illegal mining in the state, including political office holders and community leaders.
“The suspect, Fidelis Adamu, was arrested on March 20, 2025 at Angwan Gainyeh, Sakon-gyel Axis, in the Southern Government Area of Joss (LGA), Plateau State,” the statement said.
“The suspect is in custody while the troops are on the trail of other members of the cult group.”
“In addition, on March 23, 2025, the ongoing operation Lafiyan Jama’a’s troops responded to information on criminal activities around Mangu LGA Sabon Layi Axis in Plateau State.
“The troops were in contact with people who were wronged, and were overwhelmed by the engagement, and the criminals forced them to flee. The combat troops were exploited in general areas, and one of the 29-year-old criminals, named Nashak Wilson, was arrested, armed with an AK-47 rifle, one of which was equipped with 2 rounds, and 2 times 7.62 mm (Special) (Special).
“The recovered cows have been handed over to the owner, while the arrested suspects, recovered rifles and ammunition are being detained for further action.
