The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced Thursday it will recall about 105,322 SUVs due to potential problems with seat belts. Recalls Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles that affect 2018-2020 models.
Safety issues focus on the seat belt preloader facing the driver and/or former passengers, which may be locked unconsciously. This failure can prevent the seat belt from retracting or extending properly, posing a safety risk in the event of a crash.
The Ford dealer will check the date code of the seat belt pull and replace any affected parts for free.
