Jessica Aber, a former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, found D3AD at her home in Alexandria, Virginia on Saturday, March 22.
The cause and manner of her death has not been determined by the Virginia chief medical examiner, although the Alexander Police Department has investigated her death.
Aber, 43, recently resigned from her position.
She was appointed as an American lawyer for the Eastern District of Virginia by President Joe Biden in 2021.
She led the department for about three years and resigned in January this year, with President Trump starting his second term.
“We are heartbroken about the death of our friend and former colleague Jessica Aber, her successor, Erik Siebert, in a statement Saturday, said in a statement. ”
