Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC, the Regional Bureau of Lagos has arraigned a woman in court.
The woman identified as Folake Adeoti reportedly filed a lawsuit in the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos on Friday, April 4, 2025.
She faces one charge of Naira’s dismemberment.
During the court hearing, ZB Atiku noted that the woman was arrested around Jobi Fele Way in Ikeja, Lagos on March 21, 2025, while Hawking Naira pointed to the tune of N3,850,000.00.

“That you, Folake Adeoti, on the 21st day of March, 2025, opposite Regency Hall, Jobi Felé, Way, Ikeja, in Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court, hawked the sum of N3,850,000.00 (Three Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 21(4)) of the Nigeria Central Bank Act, 2007. ”
When she was read to her, she pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Supreme Court Justice sat in Ikoy, Lagos.
Chairman Judge Yellim Bogoro made a verdict until the case was adjourned on 2 May 2025 and ordered the suspect to be remanded.
