    Former Galatasaray star Didier Drogba insists that Jose Mourinho is not a racist

    Former Galatasaray forward Didier Drogba has defended Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho after serious accusations from his former club .

    Controversy arose after a tense of a 0-0 draw between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce on Monday, where Mourinho allegedly made a remark here that suggests the Galatasaray bench is “Jump like a monkey.”

    In response to the comments, Galatasaray issued a formal statement saying they intend to file criminal charges against Mourinho because they believe racist remarks.

    The club’s announcement stressed that the term attributed to Mourinho was not only offensive, but also targeting the Turkish people, causing a major uproar within the football community.

    Drogba not only wore the yellow and red jerseys of the famous Galatasaray, but also had a professional relationship with Mourinho during Chelsea, who participated in socializing on Wednesday Media platform X to defend the 62-year-old manager.

    In his heartfelt message, Drogba calls Mourinho his “dad,” Revealing deep respect and friendship.

    Drogba wrote, “Dear @galatasaraysk, you know how proud I am in yellow and red jerseys and my love for the most decorative clubs in Türkiye!”

    He spoke of the recent allegations against Mourinho, stressing that “We all know how enthusiastic and intense competition could be, and I’m lucky to be able to experience it.

    “I’ve seen recent comments about Mourinho. When I tell you, believe me, I’ve known Jose for 25 years and he’s not a racist – history (past and recent) can prove it .”

    Drogba urges fans to redirect their attention, tweet, “Let us guide our energy to support our outstanding players, great Lions and work hard to win the league so we can get closer to the coveted fifth star.” He concluded in an incredible way: “How can my ‘Dad’ be a racist? Come on, guys.”
