Former military president Babangida has made public the murder of Dele Giwa.

Nigeria News Nalin The report said that former military president General Ibrahim Babangida (retired) denied being involved in the senior journalist and editor-in-chief of Dele Giwa news agency.

The Nigerian news platform learned that Giwa, a voice critic of the military government of Babajda, was vocalized by the bombs in his home in Ikeja, Lagos State, on October 19, 1986 Assassination.

Two days before the incident, a senior military intelligence agency accused Giva of illegally importing and storing weapons and ammunition for a socialist revolution in Nigeria.

Giwa, shocked by the charges, quickly briefed his attorney, Gani Fawehinmi.

The next day, the security chief Colonel Halilu Akilu called for guarantees of Giwa, alleging that it was caused by misunderstandings, and that the matter had been cleared and that Giwa should not Have any ideas on this.

A few hours later, the messenger arrived. Giwas’s son Billy collected the parcel and handed it to his father, who was visiting the UK, sitting at the dining table of the company Kayode Soyinka, a London correspondent in Newswatch. The envelope carries the president’s seal and is marked “Opened by the recipient only.”

He said: “The hysteria of the media has not helped the investigation into the murder of Giva. As typical of the Nigerian media, the sign of this direction is an adversarial attitude towards the government, which has been a sign of the colonial heyday of Nigerian media.

“Today, we have maintained an attitude of ‘we and government’. In this case, the government is convicted even in the evidence in the case.

“When the Obasanjo civilian government reopened the Giwa case in the OPUTA Human Rights and Civil Rights Group, I hope the police and lawyers provide new evidence for their discoveries about the Giwa murder over the years.

“Nothing happened. Like all mysterious murders, Giva has been unable to resolve after so many years. I have always hoped it would discover it in our lifetime or after. Usually, mysterious crimes are resolved long after commissioning Now.”
