Chris Kluwe, a former Minnesota Viking bettor, was arrested and evacuated from a city council meeting in Huntington Beach after becoming destructive during anti-Maga harassment. Kluwe, who played for the Vikings from 2005 to 2012, appeared at the conference and made harsh criticisms of Donald Trump supporters.
Despite some objections from attendees, Cruvey, 43, continued to express his views, saying: “Margo is profoundly corrupt” and “meaningless anti-democracy, and most importantly, Margo is obviously Nazi movement. “He went on to compare the Maga movement to the Nazi symbols, saying, “You may have replaced the swastika with a red hat, but that’s the truth.”
Things escalated when Cruway announced his intention to conduct “peaceful civil obedience.” He then moved into the city council, at which time he was quickly detained by several officers. Cruway was handcuffed and escorted out of the town hall, an incident that was partially captured in the video.
The Huntington Beach Police Department accused Cruway of harassing a rally. Four hours later, he was released. Kluwe, known for his outspoken views, has made headlines in the past, including a 2012 protest against the professional football Hall of Fame excluding bettors, who was fined $5,000. In 2014, Cruvi claimed that he was released by the Vikings for his support for same-sex marriage.
