Former college football excellence Justin Blackmon was arrested on Saturday, April 19 for public intoxication, and police reports obtained by TMZ Sports revealed details of the incident.
The 35-year-old former Oklahoma State recipient caught the attention over the weekend, and fans noticed his appearance in Mugshot changed.
According to the police report, the police responded to a call about the “big black man” on the ground at 1:32 a.m. By the time they arrived, the man had already stood up and walked into a campus building. After contact, the officer observed Montenegro unstable on his feet, smelled strongly of alcohol, and was wearing wet clothes. His speech was described as “dirty and confusing.”
When asked about his behavior, Blackmon told the officer that he was trying to go home. But when asked to go to his destination, he repeatedly mentioned “Stilwater” but admitted that he was not there and said, “You caught me.” Then, he followed the instructions of the officer, turning around and putting his hand behind his back.
The report notes that due to Blackmon’s body size and wrist circumference, two sets of handcuffs are required. When escorted to the patrol car, the officer found that he was unable to fit in the rear seat due to his size. As a result, a larger patrol vehicle was brought in and Blackmon was transported to the prison for booking and processing.
Blackmon is 6’2 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds, about 20 pounds heavier than his OSU game against the NFL. After a promising college career, Blackmon was selected fifth by Jacksonville Jaguars at the 2012 NFL Draft. However, his career was cut, and when he was undoubtedly subject to violations of the NFL, his career was short.
