Atiku Abubakar, former presidential candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), strongly denied the report that he resigned from the party.
In a statement issued on Friday, Atiku described himself as a “good and loyal member” of the PDP, which he condemned that the cycle was unfounded.
He claimed that in a statement signed by his media aide, Paul Ibe, Attiku attributed the false report to a “desperate politician,” who claimed he was behind the smear movement.
The reports appeared on Facebook pages, claiming that Atiku had resigned from the PDP, which he quickly marked as a “malicious lie” and was part of a political axe work designed to undercut his image.
Atiku further reiterated his commitment to the PDP, insisting that unfounded rumors would not distract his dedication to the party and its cause.
He stressed that the ongoing attempt to spread false information would not prevent his political participation or influence his loyalty to the PDP.
Statement reading, “Often, we don’t waste words on faceless social media platforms, such as the so-called ‘Adamawa incident’. However, given the inquiries about Nigerians and reliable media, we are forced to set a record: His former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar (1999-2007), the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) (PDP) (PDP) (PDP) (None of us – none of us – resigned from the company of PDP.
“The source of this unfounded rumor is a Facebook page that is peddling falsehood, apparently orchestrated by desperate political operators, all in their agendas besides mischief and chaos. It’s an attempt to mislead the public and sow millions of Nigerians.
“We urge Nigerians, especially Waziri Adamawa supporters, to ignore this malicious fabrication. It is a mean, ruthless tactic and there is nothing else but contempt.
“Atiku Abubakar remains committed to the ideals of the PDP and the democratic aspirations of the Nigerian people.”
