    Four drug master bags were jailed for 95 years, confiscated cars and others

    Four drug kings identified as Ogbuji Christian Ifeanyi; Iloduba Augustine Chinonye; Shuaibu Nuhu Isa (aka Don) and Zidon Zurga have been convicted and sentenced to 95 years in prison by the federal high courts in Lagos and Yola in the federal high courts for trafficking in cocaine and skunks worth more than 4.6 billion guilds.

    Babafemi said in his own case, Iludoba, 51, was arrested in his early New Year’s Eve on December 31, 2021 by Akanu Ibiam Intervical Airport for trafficking with cocaine.

    “He was found ingesting packages of 58 illegal drugs, 48 ​​of which were discharged from the transit of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and he expelled the 10-plus of NDLEA custody after his arrest on January 1, 2022.     After three years of diligent prosecution, Iludoba was convicted and sentenced to five years in prison, putting his total year in prison to 10 years, which will be conducted simultaneously from the date of conviction on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

    Babuffimi said that in 55-year-old Shuaibu Nuhu Isa (aka DON) and 50-year-old Zidon Zurga, they were arrested by NDLEA operators on November 25, 2024 with 500.800kg digital board 01b-266 fg.

    Later, they were arraigned in Justice Bala Usman: FHC/YL/150/2024, and were convicted on February 7, 2025, sentenced to 35 years in prison for two counts, and imposed a combined year imprisonment of 70 years, or a fine of 70 years. The court also ordered confiscation in two jeeps trafficking illegal drug cargo.

    NDLEA’s chairman/CEO Brig responded to the quartet’s conviction. General Mohamed Buba Marwa (RTD) praised the trial court, the team of officials investigated and prosecuted the three cases at the MMIA Strategic Command in Lagos, the special area command of the Akanu Ibiyam International Airport Special Area Special Area, the Anugu and the Ademava State Command. “The criminal tools for conviction and confiscation of criminals will further strengthen our ongoing efforts to completely eliminate the deterrent effect of every drug network in the country,” he said.
