Four players from Lebwit Football Academy were killed in a road accident around Kwanan Maciji-Pankshin-Kanke Road in Plateau State.

Habila Hosea Mutla, manager of the Plateau University Football Club, told Daily Trust on Thursday, April 24, 2024 that some players were also injured in a crash on Wednesday.
He said the injured player was being treated at Pankshin’s general hospital.
“The unfortunate incident took the lives of four players. It is frustrating that young football players dying from such an accident.”
