    Four people use bullet wounds as “supporters” of Forbala, the Vic clash in the river

    On Wednesday, a clash between Nyesom Wike, the supporter of the Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, saw four people suffer bullet injuries on Wednesday.

    State Police Commander spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko While confirming the incident, the Elele Division patrol, led by the Divisional Police (DPO), said it was quickly mobilized to the scene when it intercepted the wisdom of credible intelligent intelligence at the site.

    According to Iringe-Koko, an unidentified assailant hid nearby and opened fire, causing multiple injuries while trying to speak to the crowd.

    “The armed gangsters fled the scene immediately, but one of them was arrested and a single barrel gun was found from him. The injured victim was quickly taken to various hospitals in Ellier for medical care. A search for fleeing suspects, some of whom were identified as members of the local alert group, known as OSPAC.

    “The arrested suspects and the arrested firearms will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

    “River State Police Command assured the public that all perpetrators involved in this offence will be arrested and brought to justice. Further updates will be communicated in due course.”

    A state police spokesman noted that the police commissioner, state CP Olugbenga Adepoju, called on residents to remain calm and provide any useful information that may facilitate ongoing investigations as the order remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
