Fulham issued an official statement on the racial abuse Calvin Bassey suffered in his FA Cup victory over Man United.

Fulham has issued a formal statement responding to the racial abuse suffered by Calvin Bassey, who played a major role in the FA Cup victory over Man United.

Fulham said racism and homosexual abuse targeting Calvin Bassey on social media after the FA Cup defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Bassey scored an opening goal for Fulham, helping them to score a 4-3 victory after a regular and extra time tied 1-1. Fulham will now face Crystal Palace in the quarterfinals.

The club emphasized their commitment to support Bassi and working with the authorities to identify and act on those responsible for abuse, thereby strengthening their dedication to respect and inclusion in football and society.

Statement read,”Fulham Football Club was shocked by the racism and homosexual abuse Calvin Bassey was subjected to on social media after yesterday’s FA Cup match against Manchester United. We strongly condemn this abominable act of having no place in football or society. Such an action is completely unacceptable, and we are fully supported by Calvin Bassey, who will continue to receive all of our support. ”

They continue to add,”We will do everything we can to cooperate with relevant authorities to identify the perpetrators of these evil messages and take the most powerful form of action. “Fulham Football Club is committed to maintaining a firm stance on discrimination in all forms and is committed to promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.”
