A man and his female lover, literally peaceful, had already sucked generator smoke from the river national capital port Harcourt on weekends.
Witnesses said the lover brought the generator into the passageway close to the room on Friday and stayed overnight.
The next day was Saturday, May 23, and their colleagues observed that the couple did not come out of the room. They suspected something was wrong and forced their room to open the door and found the couple’s lifeless body.
A Chima source said some neighbors rushed to the town’s central police station to report.
Rivers State Police spokesman SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the development, saying preliminary investigations suggest that lovers may die from inhaling generator smoke.
