This is after several cows fell ill on a farmland in the Plateau State.
The operators of the Haven Action Haven have acted quickly in the event of poisoning in the Plateau State.
A total of 32 cows belonging to herders in the region died after eating poisonous tomatoes and garden eggs.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported that the incident occurred on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 in an area along the Zawura-Jebbu Miango Axis between Dutsen Kura and Jebbu Miango.
The herder, identified as Mr. Samaila Nuhu, said his cows began to perform poorly and showed symptoms of poisoning after grazing the area.
Searches in the area showed an area scattered with tomatoes and garden eggs, which were said to have been intentionally poisoned.
Forces from OPSH District 3 were deployed to the scene after a distress call, confirming that the cattle had been killed by the herders themselves to save any available meat.
The visit helped calm tensions and prevent any retaliatory attacks in the affected Fulani community.
