Oxen State Governor Ademola Adeleke directed the newly elected local government president to stay away from the secretariat of the local government committee to avoid the decomposition of law and order in the state.
Naija News Adeleke took the oath and sworn in to 30 local government chairmen and vice-chairmen at the Osun State Government Building on Sunday.
The governor said the occasion was the end result of the efforts of the people of the country to achieve and accuse officials of their work in the People’s Democratic Party Manifesto (PDP), and pointed out that his administration is making the country better.
He thanked President Bola Tinubu for not allowing Osun State to fall into chaos, including the Osun Election Commission, security agencies and state officials, to make the sport a success.
He said “I call on you to be a change in democratic dividend dividends, community developers or providers.
“We won’t let you fail. People’s welfare will continue to be our slogan. I assure the President of my commitment to the rule of law.”
OYO State Governor Seyi Makinde also paid tribute to newly sworn in local government officials and urged them not to forget their commitments during the campaign.
He said “This is your chance to ship it to the grassroots level. It will be a stepping stone to you to a higher position, and the rewards of hard work are more opportunities.”
Makinde was surprised by the violence that broke out in the state on Monday, February 17, 2025, and said he felt it was necessary to issue a warning to prevent duplication of history.
He added, “We don’t want to ‘wild west’ anymore. They should stay away from this area. We want to provide the people with a democratic dividend in peace.
“Even if there is a court decision, they shouldn’t resort to self-help. They shouldn’t consider it because they have federal power, which is a federal arrangement. I’ll stop here.”
