Governor Forbala made his first public appearance, going to church after Tinubu suspended him

The Governor was seen attending Sunday service at the headquarters of the Salvation Commission in Harcourt Port Gra.

The decision sparked different responses from political stakeholders, legal practitioners and civil society groups. Meanwhile, the newly appointed sole administrator has taken steps to assert control. Since his tenure, he has held emergency safety meetings with law enforcement agencies, traditional rulers and local government administrators. During these meetings, he confirmed the release of the state allocation of the reservation and directed immediate payments for local government workers.

The IBA also inspected the ongoing reconstruction of the River State Capitol, promising to ensure its timely completion of governance.
