    Governor Forbala says protests in River State Heya Minority protests against Iya Minority, not alone

    The protests erupted on Wick’s controversial statement about Iya Pride and Late Pennsylvania Clark. BAYELSA, Nigeria – The latest speech by former River Governor and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike surged in Bayesa State, triggering major protests led by Ijaw National Frontiers. The protest was in response to Wick’s controversial claim, which described the Ilyan nationality as a minority in the South. Wike’s comments were considered an attack on the pride of Ijaw State in the Niger Delta.

    In a speech earlier this week. Wick is derogatory to the late Ijaw StatemanPa. EkClark is a well-known Ijaw leader, and many find disrespectful and divided words. Pa. EkClark, who passed away in 2025, has long been a respected old politician known for his unremitting efforts to the people of Ilya, their rights and cultural heritage.

    Bar. NYESOM WIKE should allow Governor Sim Fubara to rule the river state peacefully, establish divisions and undermine the current governor, preferring to bridge the peaceful coexistence with the people of Ikwerre, and the people of Ijaw will not accept this from FCT Minister-Nyesom Wike.

    The Iya State condemned Vick’s statement, calling it an “insult to the Iya people” and “insult to the dignity of the ancestors.” The protests brought thousands of people to the heart of the capital of Bayelsa, and onopa-yenagoa demanded an apology to FCT Wike and publicly withdrew his comments.
