Naija News Victor Giwa, a legal representative for Natasha, was reportedly known during an interview with channel TV on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
It is worth recalling that Akpoti-uduaghan, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was suspended for six months after controversy with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
She also accused Akpabio of sexual harassment and abuse of his post, which exacerbated allegations of political tensions.
According to Giwa, Omole reportedly led a group of voters from Kogi Central to submit a petition to the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) on Monday, March 24, 2025 to seek the removal of Akpoti-uduaghan.
Giwa described the recall work as politically motivated and fraudulent, noting that this process would be nearly impossible without manipulation.
The lawyer further criticized the basis of the recall, saying it was not due to the senator’s performance, but rather the allegations of sexual harassment against Akpabio.
Giwa also pointed out that Omole’s position in Ododo’s government is evidence of Kogi’s intervention.
He said “The fact is that the recall process cannot be carried out except for fraudulent completion.
“The process takes about 15 phases, which is a tortuous and practically impossible process.
“It’s not based on issues or performance-centric. It’s purely because she accused Akpabio of sexual harassment.
“The charity Ijese Omole is a senior special assistant to the governors of women and youth. It is obvious that this is a government-sponsored recall, not a consortium of initiatives.”
