    Governor Okpebholo approved the 21 -year imprisonment of Edo cults

    Governor OKPEBHOLO has approved the term of office of cults in Edo for 21 years.

    Nigerian News NalinIt is reported that the Governor of Edo Prefecture has signed a new law on Monday OKPEBHOLO on Monday that the law was sentenced to 21 years of imprisonment against cult members and sponsors.

    The development project announced on Tuesday in a statement issued by the state government Uumar Ikhllor. According to the statement, laws related to cults related to cult have been abolished and replaced with stricter punishment to prevent cult activities.

    Ikhllor emphasized that the government is committed to maintaining the state of peace and security in the state, warning the public not to take action, thereby endangering the growth and development of Edo.

    The statement said: “It has been announced to announce the public information, and the Edo Parliament building has abolished the Edo State Secret Cult (ban).

    “With abolition, secret cults and similar activities (prohibited) laws. In 2025, the Edo State Parliament Building has been approved, and the governor of the country, his governor, signed a law, his own, senators, on Monday 2025, January 2025 24th.

    “Please tell that in the new law, people who have a crime related to the secret cults are punished more strictly.

    “Article 5 of the Law stipulates the 21 -year imprisonment of the financial and material sponsors of the secret cult.

    “In addition, Article 6 of the law stipulates those who intend to cover up secret cults or allow secret cult conferences or activities under the control of any houses, buildings or locations under their control.”

    The statement further pointed out that in addition to the 10 -year supervision of people with cultists, these people will also be confiscated and demolished by the state government.

    It added: “Article 12 of the Law clearly states: ‘Any cultist who is considered to be Artist, attacks, damage, creation or kill anyone or destroy any property cults, crimes, crimes, charges, charges It is a 21 -year imprisonment without a fine. In the case of death, the perpetrator should be responsible for death after conviction. The name and any property of the place of residence shall be confiscated and demolished by the state government.

    “Through this notice, the public recommends paying attention to and avoiding the behavior of peace, growth and development of Edo countries.”
