Governor Sanwo-Olu stopped working remotely for Lagos civil servants.
Nigeria News Nalin Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu directed workers of the state’s civil servants to return to the office and start the regular Monday to Friday working days and hours, only completing One year of implementation.
Recall that the governor has been introducing flexible working conditions since February 2024, where certain categories of employees, especially junior cadres, come to the office only for two days of the week, while the rest of the days work from home.
However, senior staff reports to the office every day.
After economic hardship, the initiative was proposed to ease the impact of the federal government’s elimination of gasoline subsidies.
The cancellation of the directive was included in a circular issued by Secretary for Services Hos on Tuesday, February 11.
In the round of the service head, titled Bode Agoro; “The work of the Family Initiative was cancelled from the Lagos State Department of Public Services,” the new directive is a sequel to the implementation of a new minimum wage by the state government.
Part of the cycle is: “The new minimum wage in state public services is further implemented and other commendable measures taken by the current government to improve the welfare and well-being of civil servants in Lagos State, and the relevant Governor Babajide has been notified here General information of Mr. Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has approved the cancellation of the family initiative for public services in Lagos State.
“To this end, the cancellation of the work initiatives in the work that have been implemented since February 2024 will take effect from 31 March 2025.
“In view of the above, civil servants are urged to fully re-perform themselves to perform their duties effectively and ensure services to improve services in various departments, departments and agencies (MDAS).
