Guardiola ruled Haaland for seven weeks
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola revealed that Erling Haaland could miss seven weeks due to an ankle injury.
Haaland was eliminated in the second half of Sunday’s FA Cup title defeating Bournemouth after the Lewis Cook challenge.
The Norwegian striker scored earlier in the game and Manchester City entered the semi-finals with a 2-1 victory.
Heyland said the club statement issued Monday night will meet experts, but they hope he will return by the end of the season.
Guardiola further added a timeline and told reporters: “The doctor told me five to seven weeks, so hopefully the season is over and the club World Cup is over and he will be ready.
“Sometimes, these things happen for a few years – all seasons.
“If this is the end of the season, it might be different [before the Club World Cup]. I’m also sorry for them and Erling as we’ve been hurt all this season. Hopefully healing can be as fast as possible and he can come back. ”
