The gunman, who allegedly kidnapped two men and kidnapped a pharmacy owner and two of his sales boys in Agyaragu in the Jenkwe Development area of Obi LGA in Nasarawa.
The gunman invaded the Emmy Awards Nigeria Co., Ltd. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 8:44 pm, shooting occasionally, shooting a young lady, and then rushing the victim to an unknown destination.
According to the gathering, a young man from the Gidiye community was also kled by a wandering bullet during the attack.
A source confirming the incident with the Pioneer said the operation lasted for about an hour without any security interference.
“The gunmen were well armed. Their shooting scared everyone. They forced the owner of the pharmacy and his two boys into the bush,” the source said.
He further revealed that some young people in the community have received huge shootings to prevent attackers from performing their actions.
One resident, Jonah Yakubu, lamented that the Agyaragu community lives in fear as the frequency and fanaticism escalates.
The demand for ransom has become a recurring theme, with families and loved ones being forced to pay high payments to ensure the release of the kidnapped relatives.
He called on the governor of Nasarawa to increase security presence in the Agyaragu community and surrounding areas.
He also called on security agencies to take effective measures to prevent kidnapping and ensure safe release of the kidnapped persons.
