    Gunner kidnapped Labor chief in Edo and demanded N50M ransom

    The suspected kidnapper has kidnapped the chief of the Labor Party (LP) of Okasime Olowojoba, the Akoko-Edo local government area.

    Real estate developer Olowojoba kidnapped on Saturday, April 26, 2025 on Auchi-Benin-Ibilo Road.

    The victim is also the chairman of Akoko-Edo Ward 1 of the record company.

    The victim was said to have resumed Akoko-Eddo Local Government Regional Headquarters on Monday and resumed school on Monday, initially kidnapped with his children and his housework staff.

    However, he was captured by the kidnapper, who gave up on the victim’s children and home seekers.

    The incident is said to have occurred in a bad location around Sasaro, an area that has recently become notorious for a series of kidnappings.

    A family source broke news of Olowojoba’s kidnapping on Monday, saying the kidnappers have contacted their families for a ransom of 50 million N

    Sources said: “Lovers Valentine Okasime Olowojoba is the chairman of the Labor Party (LP). He went to Auchi to pick up the children. His children and his wife went to Auchi for vacation; he went to take his children back to school on Monday.”

    “He was kidnapped on the way that Saturday, and the network in the area didn’t work until Sunday.

    “Initially, they were all taken into the bush by the kidnappers, but then they left the house and the kids and went with him. They picked him up and gave up his vehicle on the way.

    “There was no internet that Saturday; I learned from his brother about 12 noon on Sunday that they were asking for a ransom of 500 million n50 million as of Monday.

    “I also learned that some other people were also kidnapped in the same area on Sunday,” the source added.
