    Gunner kidnapped nine surveyors and demanded N100m ransom

    Gunner kidnapped nine surveyors and demanded N100m ransom

    The gunman kidnapped at least nine surveyors in Ondo State.

    Surveyors were ambushed by armed gunmen who lurked in the bush on the Ilu-Abo axis in the local council district in the northern Akurey of the state.

    The kidnappers contacted some of the victims’ families and demanded a $100 million release, but later reduced the ransom to 50 million guilds.

    Meanwhile, on Tuesday, March 11, Akure’s women are constantly kidnapping and k! lings protest.

    They gathered at the residence of Ejeminkin in the state capital Ejeminkin, the senior chief Oluwole Omotayo, to express their dissatisfaction.

    As Ijemikin advanced to the governor’s office in Alagbaka, Akure, protesters (mostly women) called on the governor’s lucky Aiye Datiwa to take quick and decisive actions to examine the activities of kidnappers, killer herders and other perpetrators that penetrated the country.

    The Special Adviser for Union Affairs and Special Duties speaking on behalf of the governor, addressing the protesting women, addressing the governor, blamed the nine kidnapped surveyors on the absence of security agents, according to the Guardian.

    Taiwan accused the surveyor of collecting huge sums of money from clients but failing to spend money on their safety, claiming that insiders were the perpetrators of the kidnapping.
